Toronto Star Quotes Anuva Wines on Wine Etiquette in Argentina

I got a call from the gentleman who wrote the article yesterday asking me bizarre questions about “pouring wine backwards” for Argentines somehow indicating hostility. This practice was evidently on the list of “taboo” things to do during the 2012 London Games according to the British government.

I’m thinking that there has to have been some sort of backlash due to the sordid history between the UK and Argentina left over from the many disagreements these countries have had, from railroads, to the Falklands, to the Hand of God.

Did the Hand of God go in back handed? Is this how the Queen came up with the idea that pouring wine backhanded would be offensive to an Argentine. In a word, “bollucks!”.

Another Great Review for Anuva Wine Tastings

Maria Carra of Buenos Aires Foodies (http://www.buenosairesfoodies.com/2010/07/anuva-wine-club-tasting-wine-in.html) wrote this fantastic review about our wine tastings. Thanks for that!

She and I talked for about 2 hours about food and wine. And we had to cut ourselves off. We realized that we both have a passion for flavors, preparations, cuisine, beverage, and chatting about all that stuff. And for those of you who know me, I am super chatty. And since Maria has tons of great ideas about what food is, how it should be talked about, and what to recommend… well here I go again.

Cheers to Maria! http://www.buenosairesfoodies.com/

Another Fantastic Review for Anuva Wine Tastings in Buenos Aires

I have been a bit leery of writers, press and affiliates coming to our wine tastings while we have clients. It is understandable that that is what they would want. While the majority have been very nice and cordial, some have ruined the wine tasting by turning the discussion to business in front of our guests instead of waiting politely.

Because of this, I gave Jon Brandt a very hard time before he came to a wine tasting. Reluctantly, and after much online correspondence, I decided to take the risk.  And then he wrote this amazing article on Argentinas Travel about our wine tastings! Not only that he posted us to his blog as well and struck me as a genuine, hard working kind of guy who really cares about his writing and Argentina. Cheers to that!

“Best Wine Tasting in Buenos Aires”

Angela over at San Telmo Loft and some friends of hers came to a wine tasting a while back and clearly loved it. They were blown away so much that Angela wrote a fantastic review about our wine tastings, that I, in turn, was blown away by.

From the title of the article, “Best Wine Tasting in Buenos Aires”, to the “Why [she] Recommends Anuva Wine Tastings” list–which was really step-wise and comprehensive, to the myriad of compliments on the service, wine and food pairings, I am just flattered.

Angela, here is to you and San Telmo Loft. Cheers!
